The best Anti-Terrorist Teams in American Military
History came from the Vietnam War. These Americans fought terrorism
with kindness, bravery and their blood. Although the Combined Action
Program (CAP) was an outfit
of the Marines, it worked very closely with the Republic of Vietnam
and received that country’s highest unit awards for both “Gallantry
and Civil Actions”.
Because of the success of the program, the communists
threw everything at these small teams of Americans. Many times, the
communists made large-scale attacks with hundreds of their best troops
against the twelve men American Teams. Only half of the Americans,
who served in the Combined Action Program (CAP), survived the heavy
combat. Seventy percent of the survivors were wounded once... while
45% of the survivors were wounded two or more times.
The Americans never lost a village to the terrorists...
because the Teams were supported and loved by the peasant-farmers.
