Have you ever tried to climb a hill
And found it was too steep
Have you ever had some dreams so bad
You were afraid to go to sleep
while awake have you ever thought
That some things don’t seem real
So you pinch yourself, a little hurt
But that’s not the pain you feel
‘Cause inside you have a lasting pain
That will never go away
And your memories are reminders
That the pain is here to stay
To tell someone is so very hard
Of the things that you’ve been through
So you walk through life a wounded man
And all your friends get wounded too.
